Recent Tax Collector Office News

  • The Marco Island Tax Collector's office at 1040 Winterberry Drive, Marco Island, Florida 34145, will close for interior remodeling beginning Monday, August 27. The remodeling is expected to take eight weeks with the office reopening Tuesday, October 23.

    Beginning Tuesday, August 28, and throughout the time the Winterberry office is closed, the Tax Collector will offer limited services in Rose Hall at the Marco Island Library, 210 S. Heathwood Drive, Marco Island, Florida 34145. The Tax Collector's office hours at Rose Hall will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    During this temporary relocation, Driver License and Birth Certificate services will be unavailable at Rose Hall. Driver License services will be available at the Tax Collector's office at the Shops at Eagle Creek, 12668 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, Florida 34113 (southwest corner of the intersection of Collier Blvd. and Tamiami Trail E.). Birth Certificate services will be available at the Tax Collector's office at 725 Airport Road South, Naples, Florida 34104, or at the Collier County Health Department, 3339 Tamiami Trail East (Building H), Naples, Florida 34112. Other Tax Collector offices may be found at www.colliertax.com.

  • On July 11, 2017, the Collier County Board of Commissioners passed Ordinance 2017-35 amending Collier County Ordinance 92-60, raising the Collier County Tourist Development Tax to 5% effective September 1, 2017. Therefore, Tourist Development Tax shall be calculated at 5% for all short-term occupancies occurring September 1, 2017 and thereafter.

  • Collier County Tax Collector Larry H. Ray has partnered with Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam to pass legislation that extends the opportunity for residents of Collier County to apply for a statewide Concealed Weapon Permit through the office of the Collier County Tax Collector.
